How to retrieve hard disk information from computer with the blue screen of death?
I have a desktop computer that suffers from the blue screen of death every time I turn it on. Is there a way I can see if any of my files are ok by connecting the hard drive to my laptop?
You could use a special live Linux distro called Knoppix that you run it from the CD or DVD only and it provides you with direct access to your Windows installation and to your files and folders too. You may execute file and folder operations, you may even back them onto CD-r or DVD-r.
