Need to run an Ethernet Cable Outside? Safe?
Hello, I have to run an ethernet cable from an office room to a media room. But to do it, the ethernet has to be outside for a 10 foot stretch (not 30ft like the picture, i kinda exaggerated), and then go to the media room. Here is a drawing of my floorplan

Is it safe to run the ethernet cable outside like that (purple in the picture)? If not, is there a protective case for the cable I can buy/weather resistant ethernet cable? Please give me a link, thanks i appreciate it
It's safe as long as the cable terminations are well inside the rooms where water can't touch them, and as long as there is no danger of something like a lawnmower going over it 
Over time, the cable WILL degrade in the sun however, so I'd bury it in the ground if possible. Problem there is it might get chewed on/corroded by water. You could run it through a length of PVC and either bury the PVC or run it aboveground (the PVC would protect it from the sun). Or, you could just buy a wi-fi transmitter to hook to your Xbox and run it wirelessly.
