is it possible to use two dsl modems in my home,or will i have to run a long cable through the vents to my pc?
i want to play on xbox live, but my computer is upstairs, and my console will be downstairs within months. since my xbox360 won't be anywhere near my dsl modem, however very close to another phone jack, i was wondering if i could find another modem somewhere to buy and hook it up downstairs next to my xbox. are you able to use two modems on the same network/in the same home, or do i need to run a 50 ft cable or something through our vent system somehow in order to be able to access xbox live through my current modem? plz help.
Nope, you cant have 2 DSL modems on the same number and account. You would need to get another number and account for that... Here's my suggestion, you can juz get a router and a wireless adapter... The router, you can connect it directly to the modem and connect the computer while ur Xbox 360 woould have the wireless adapter downstairs and u can connect that one wirelessly to the router...
