95 Ford Probe shuts off when put into gear?
I have a 95 ford probe manual tranny that dies every time it gets put into gear. I had a aftermarket stereo system in and a wire fell from the positive post and smoke a little bit. Ive herd such things as the aftermarket security system could be shutting it off. Every fuse in the car is fine and the car did not run while in neutral but now does because i disconnected the neutral saftey switch..... ANY suggestions would be of much help
Take a look under the hood and see if the air cleaner hoses are nice, tight and intact with no holes or tears. When the engine moves these hoses can flex and open up (if broke)causing loss of airflow thru the sensors resulting in engine die out.
