I am so sick of the Foodnetwork the shows have gotten so hokey and not very informative in terms of gourmet cooking/food. I want to see shows on truffles and their use NOT a show about who invented the Twinkie!

I agree. I'd rather watch a show with people preparing fancy, complicated, gourmet, not-your-everyday meals than someone showing me how to fry a damn egg or put together a pb&j sandwich. If I watch it, it's to learn something new. Otherwise I could just go to the local McDonald's and watch some part-time 16 year old put pickles on burgers.
