Motherload is an interesting internet platform game. It takes the player into the world of mining where the player has to control of different drilling machines. The owner of the corporate company is called Mr. Natas who runs the company and the player is an employee working for him. By using the drilling machine and improving the attributes and accessories associated with the machinery, such as the engine, the hull the size of the fuel tank, material used to construct the drill etc. The player has to accumulate many minerals and precious metals found deep within the earth's crust, which together are referred to as the "motherload".
The game play involves the use of strategy on the part of the player, who restricted by the amount of fuel in the machine's tank, has to intelligently manage to weave through the ever hardening layers. It involves drilling through the layers of planet's crust to the bedrock.
Towards the final chapters of the game, the player is confronted by none other than the employer Mr. Natas, who is actually Satan in the guise of a human being. He sends the player on this mission in search of a lost element, known as Amazonite, which is thought to contain the power to conquer the world.
To destroy Satan, the player must use this very element Amazonite. After conquering Satan, the player uses Amazonite and contacts another dimension bringing in a cliffhanger for the sequel, which is yet to be released.
The game was developed by an internet site Miniclip and can be played online. The excavation is carried out with heavy-weight equipment and the player has the option to upgrade to powerful digging equipment. The thrill of the game is thought to wear off in a few attempt,s but the game is very gripping nonetheless.
