Showdown
1. Object of the game is to win all the cards.
2. This is for 2 to 4 players.
3. If there are 2 players, deal out all the cards. If there are more than 2 players, deal out as many as possible so that every player has the same number. Put any left over to the side.
4. Players leave their cards in a stack facedown, without looking at them.
5. Instead of taking turns all players move at the same time. They turn over their top card and place it face up on the table.
6. The player with the highest card wins all of it (played) and adds them facedown to the bottom of his stack. Then play resumes with all the players turning over another one.
7. If two or more players have matching cards (such as an ace of hearts and an ace of clubs), it is time for a showdown.
8. Here is how to have a showdown, moving at the same time, both players put one card on the table facedown and then another one face up. If the face up ones match, it is a showdown again! Otherwise, the player with the highest face up card wins all six of them on the table (the two cards that are face up and the two cards that are facedown plus the original two matching ones.), and play resumes with all the players turning over another card.
9. The game ends when one player has all the cards.
Slapjack
1. Object of the game is to win all the cards.
2. This is for to 2 players or more.
3. You do not need magic to play slapjack, you just need fast reflexes!
4. Deal out all the cards. (It is okay if the number of cards does not come out even).
5. Players leave their cards in a stack facedown, without looking at them.
6. The first player quickly lifts one card from his stack and places it face up on the table. He must do this in a fast motion without peeking so that all players see the cards at the same time!
7. On their turns, the other players do the same, each placing his card on top of the one previously played, creating a pile.
8. Whenever a jack appears, all players must try to slap it! The first player to slap the jack wins the entire pile.
9. Then the next player puts out a new card, and the game continues as before.
10. When a player runs out of cards, he is out of the game. But the player can get back in if he is the first to slap a jack, winning a new pile of cards to play with.
