what kind of reel do you use for fishing on a boat?
My boyfriend is a fishing fanatic. He'll be going on a fishing trip in June, on a boat. I want to get him a fishing reel for his birthday but not sure what is right. I need help to get a right one.
alot depends on what kind of fishing he is gonna be doing, if trout fishing then a ultralight rod and reel will work but if deepsea fishing then you need a really big heavy rod and reel a good basic one to start with for pond, lake and small fish is a zebco 33 easy to use and cheap at walmart, can be less than $30 you can also get a "catfish rig" a large rod and reel that is good for deepsea fishing at walmart for less than $50 good luck and i hope you get some fish for dinner!
