My home theater system has 3 different audio cords and I don't know what to use?
I set up my sony home theater system and I'm going to connect it to my tv. It shows in the manual 3 different audio cords used to connect it to the tv and they are not included. The cords are "Audio Cord," Optical Digital Cord, and HDMI cable. I have an HDMI cable and I plugged it in and its not working, even after I do what they tell me to say with syncing it and stuff. I'm wondering if I need to get an Optical Digital Cord and Audio cord as well or do I just need one of them
Need more info...does your HT system have a built-in DVD or Blu-Ray player or is everything separate? The HDMI cable carries audio and video, sometime you have to tell your system that you are using HDMI so the output can be turned on from your system to the TV. Also, this may seem simple but make sure you have the right input selected on your tv to display the output from the HDMI port.
