What direction are you supposed to shave in - bottom to top or top to bottom?
I usually shave pulling the blade from the bottom of my face to the top. I break out after shaving though, so I'm wondering if this is right. In all the commercials it seems like the guys shave pulling the blade from the top of your face to the bottom. Which is right?
Shaving from the "bottom of your face to the top" is shaving against the grain of the whiskers. This will cause you to break out in a rash and will also cause infected hairs. Shave from the top down! On the neck just shave in the direction the hair grows. If your whiskers are anything like mine, on your neck they grow in all directions!
