if i bought a nintendo DS lite in australia would it still work in the USA?
im going to australia in a few weeks, and iv been saving up some money to try to buy a Nintendo DS lite in australia. some people say that it wont work in the USA when i get back. Is there an item of some type that i could use for the DS lite so that it would work in america?
You can take it to the USA to play. It'll work fine.
But you can't buy games from the USA to put into your DS.
Why?
Basically. If you buy a game from America-it won't work on your Australian DS.
-I don't know why but they have some 'PAL' lock to stop people from illegally getting the game overseas.-
But you'll still be able to play it in America. You'll need an adaptor so you can plug your charger into American Electrical sockets and may need to alter your wi-fi settings, that's about it.
Basically:
American DS Game -made for America- won't work with Australian DS -made for Australia-
Buy it in America if you live in America or else you'll have to order games from Australia -and you'll lose money- .. unless you get an R4 for your DS then it won't matter cause you'll be downloading..
