How bad is pulling out the battery pack in a XBOX controller?
whenever i play dvds on my xbox, i want to turn off my controller so that it doesnt waste the battery. how bad is it for my xbox controller if instead of holding down the middle button and turning off the controller, i just slightly disconnect the battery pack from the controller so that the light goes off?
It doesn't do any damage whatsoever. The battery cell is just one of the components in the circuit and it's designed to be removed because that's what it needs to stop the flow of electricity.
If anything it's a good thing because it stops the inside of the controller becoming overheated and overused.
