Xbox 360 shipping question red ring of death?
I recently recieved the red ring of death and I went online to ship my 360 console to be fixed, I printed the label then realized I made a mistake in the adress. Is there anyway I can change this?
The return address to you? Yeah, there should be contact information you got during the filing to get ahold of MS to make the change on the ticket in process. Get that sucker shipped so you don't wait around forever and then call them immediately to get it corrected. They won't have you reprint that ticket since it's destination stays the same, just either make a corrected label and put it over that corner of the shipping tag (don't cover anything or UPS/FedEx will cover yours!) or cross out what's wrong with a pen and write it correctly.
All that part is would be if they couldn't deliver it and had to return it, which should never ever be happening. Just make sure you drop it at a FedEx or UPS Store location and get a 'scan tag' showing they got it into their system and your Tracking # shows up and you'll be fine.
Once that's moving I know the least there is was an e-mail to contact MS and get the return address fixed up, but I believe the Xbox main Support # or one on any receipts they gave you when you ordered the repair has a toll-free to contact them.
If the right address is what the console's registered with, like your Gamertag was created with, then they can see it was a simple mistake. Don't Panic, but don't delay.
